For Sale: Belgian British Bulldog Revolver – .455 / .450 Webley (5-Shot)
I am offering a very nice Belgian-made British Bulldog revolver chambered in .455 / .450 Webley. This is a classic big-bore pocket revolver from the late 1800s, built with the rugged Bulldog design that became famous throughout the Old West and Victorian era.
Condition & Mechanics: This revolver is in excellent mechanical condition. Timing and lockup are very good—better than most Bulldog revolvers of this style. The action functions smoothly in both single and double action, and the revolver has strong internal springs, giving it a crisp and reliable feel.
Finish & Appearance:
- Attractive nickel finish with excellent visual appeal
- Pre-1893 ELG* Liège proof marks confirming antique status
- Classic big-bore Bulldog profile with a compact, powerful design
- A true “snub-nose” style revolver that embodies the look and feel of a late-1800s defensive handgun
Caliber:
- Chambered in .455 / .450 Webley
- 5-shot cylinder
- .455 Webley brass fits nicely
- Ammunition and components are still readily available, and the cartridge is very easy to reload for
Collector Appeal: Bulldog revolvers were among the most popular defensive handguns of the late 19th century. This Belgian example combines strong mechanics, an attractive nickel finish, and a powerful big-bore chambering, making it an excellent addition to any antique firearms collection or a practical antique shooter.
