Looking to sell my pond revolver, chambered in .32 rim fire. For being 165 years old, its in decent shape. Everything works as it should, slight wiggle to cylinder and upper frame. Bore is dirty and slightly pitted, but rifling is still there.
These revolvers were produced in 1861, but unfortunately for Pond, at that time Smith and Wesson held the patent for the bored through cylinder on a revolver. Pond only sold a few on the market before selling around 4,500 to Smith and Wesson as part of the patent lawsuit. As a result, most of these revolvers, like this one are marked "manufacture for Smith & Wesson" on the side of the barrel.
These are a period correct revolver for the US Civil War, and were likely used in the conflict as private purchase items.
Antique status, so no PAL required.
Looking to get $1150 local pick up, or $1175 shipped for the revolver.
