Good day,

For sale today I've got a Antique Status Colt 1889 New Navy, along with a few accessories.

A few minor updates, the latch that was out of adjustment has been fixed, the revolver is timed well (within spec to fire safely) and the lock up is tight with less than 1mm of play, the revolver however has a weak main spring so it will not fire in double action (will fire in single), additionally the revolver latch spring is also a bit weak leading to the latch getting hung up occasionally (can be locked manually by pushing it forwards), when fully engaged the lock up is tight, over travel/timing near perfect. This revolver is safe to fire, but id recommend monitoring the piece if you purchase it for long term usage. last test fire was July 27'th 2025 and the piece worked flawlessly. The gun has been fully disassembled multiple times and cleaned well, the rifling is in good condition and the overall finish of the piece is decent. Selling for funding for night vision, will also consider 1/1 trade for PVS-14 NVG's.

Included with the revolver;

-1 bottle of Hogdon Pyrodex P (FFFG Equivalent) powder (90% full)

-5 200 grain bullets

-9 loaded cartridges

-10 fired shells that can be cleaned, resized and de-primed for reloading (starline brass and bertram brass co shells)

-1 brass powder measure

-1 complete set of Redding .41 LC reloading dies

-1 Lee Precision 7.62x39 shell holder (fits .41 LC the best)

-1 case of large pistol primers 86/100

-1 case of small pistol primers 64/100

-1 cable lock with keys

- The revolver

- Multiple copies of FRT paperwork

A few things to note,

The starline shells use small pistol primers while the bertram shells use large pistol, The 7.62x39 shell holder will work on both shell brands, I only reloaded using Hogdon Pyrodex P powder, at 15-16 Grains charge,  I lubricated the gun with a mix of beef talow and sunflower seed oil (clp causes fouling)

If your looking to get into owning and shooting antiques, or if your an experienced collector then this kit is for you, all your missing from here is a press, a priming tool, a de-burring tool, a case tumbler, and some solid reloading data.

As with all antiques and reloads, fire and reload at your own risk, make sure you do your research before attempting any reloads or before firing the weapon, while I never had any safety issues with this revolver nor does it present any concerns for safety, its still an old piece and as such caution should be used.
