Reproduction loading gate within 0.5mm of tightening down with the original screw. Very close. Probably 50% don't have loading gates anymore anyway, only matters if you are shooting up a hill.

You could go 0.845" as an extra touch. Before WW1, basically every manufacturers ammo was made to non standardized lengths. Today we have SAAMI & the other one that assure its all effectively the same length & diameter.
0.69" would be way shorter that's what Wikipedia says 44 Webley is , not necessary. All depends what kinda lead you are loading in said brass. ** My 215 gr work at 0.847" just fine.

Powders: Black Powder or Triple 7 so you can fill the casing full and not worry about it blowing up.

Cylinder is 1.20-1.21". You can ream it with a 44 Russian (0.970") or 44 special (1.175) chamber reamer if you wanted to.
