Definitely the most recognizable iconic revolver of the American West, the Colt Single Action Army! Many call it the gun that won the west. This example is chambered in 41 Long Colt caliber, 5.5" barrel, 6 shot. Accompanying this Colt is a Colt Archive historical letter showing it was a one gun order shipped to Salt Lake City Sept, 1897, as well it's a factory nickel gun. Starting in 1896 the SAA switched to a push button cylinder pin release (called the smokeless frame) instead of the earlier set screw cylinder pin release (called the black powder frame), being produced in 1897 this example has the push button release smokeless frame. Although termed "smokeless frame" one should avoid using smokeless powder as true Colt smokeless frames were introduced in 1900. The action on this revolver functions well and feels like a new gun! All 4 hammer clicks are present. Timing and lockup are good. Bore and cylinder walls rate good-very good for an antique revolver with expected wear. Original grips are in great shape with no cracks. Original nickel finish shows wear. If you need brass, lead or dies please inquire. Antique status in Canada, no PAL required to purchase or own. Will include an RCMP FRT printout showing antique status in Canada. $8750 includes Free Shipping and Colt letter. If you have any questions or need more pictures or video please feel free to ask.
