Colt Model 1892 New Army Revolver, Antique

Colt Model 1892 New Model Army Revolver in 41 Long Colt Caliber, hard to find 6" barrel, 6 shot. Serial number dates it to 1896 production. These Colt 1892s are likely the most modern looking antique classed revolvers available in Canada. The nice advancement with the 1889/1892 design was the swing out cylinder design which allowed fast loading/unloading. The 1892 was a great upgrade over the previous 1889 model as cylinder stop notches were added which prevented accidental cylinder rotation. The action on this piece functions well in single and double action. Timing and lockup are good. Bore and cylinder walls show wear/pits, where front sight was mounted there's a bore divet. Original grips are in good shape and free of cracks, there's an old varnish type coating on them. Exterior shows wear. Swing out cylinder and push rod ejector works well as it should, ejector rod head is a replacement. If you need brass, lead or dies please inquire.
