German Model 1879 Reichsrevolver. Manufactured in 1882 as noted on frame. The Reichsrevolvers are highly regarded for their durability and reliability. 7 1/8" barrel, 6 shot. Chambered in 11mm German Ordnance which is equivalent to the more common 44 Russian. 44 Russian is what most use in the Reichsrevolvers as it's a great option. The action on this piece functions excellent. Half and full cock work well. Timing and lockup are great. Bore and cylinder walls rate good-very good for an antique revolver. Grips are very unique special order/commercial style with checkered pattern. Lanyard ring is intact. Exterior has been refinished and reblued at some point, there are areas of light pitting. If you need brass, lead or dies please inquire. Antique status in Canada, no PAL required to purchase or own.
