Webley Mark 2, 45/455, Antique Status

Webley Mark 2 Service Revolver. 4" barrel, 6 shot. Chambered to accept 45ACP reduced power handloads with use of moon clips (2 included), original 455 Webley with use of included spacer ring as well as 45 Auto Rim with no need for moon clips or spacer rings. The ability to use 3 different 45 cal brass options! These Webley's were imported into North America in the 1950's as surplus arms from Europe, at that time many had their cylinders lightly machined to accept 45ACP handloads as original 455 was hard to source. These break top Webley's were highly regarded during their service life throughout the British empire! The action on this piece functions excellent in single and double action. Timing and lockup are great. Bore and cylinder walls rate good for the vintage with common wear. Original grips are in good shape, lanyard ring is intact. Serial numbers match on frame, barrel and cylinder. Ejector works excellent as it should and lifts upon barrel tilt to eject brass and snaps back in place upon full barrel tilt. Exterior original finish shows well for a vintage Webley. Exterior has numerous dates/issue markings that will make for interesting research. If you need, lead or dies please inquire.
