For sale is an antique Norwich percussion cap rifle from 1865. It is in good condition for its age. The hammer locks and functions properly, and the original ramrod is still with the gun. The wood and metal have a nice untouched patina – I haven’t cleaned or altered anything. This is a percussion rifle, not a flintlock.
It’s been in the family for a long time and has been stored properly. It says “US Norwich 1865” on the lockplate. Based on research, this is a Civil War-era firearm, though I can’t confirm if it was used in the war.
