Winchester 1886 in .40-65 WCF. 26” octagon barrel. 13” LOP. Manufactured in 1891 for what I can tell. Crescent style butt plate. Bore is decent. Looks to be a long range rear sight. Likely not factory. Front sight is a ring with post on top. Also not likely factory. No bluing left on the receiver. Looks like some idiot took a wire wheel to it, unfortunately. Barrel bluing has about 30 to 40% left magazine tube has about 80% bluing. Wood is not cracked. Buttstock looks like it was used as a farming implement or something stupid. Tons of dings and dents on it. Looks like at least two or three action screws have been replaced. Someone has been trying to keep this old girl running.
