Spanish M44 built to replicate a WW2 K98k Sniper. LSR mount with a Miroku 4x32 scope with the German cross reticle. Rifle is in great condition with German stamps and markings all over. Functions like a all K98's, flawlessly. Happy to answer any questions or send further photos.
German markings present on rear sight, barrel bands, wood stock German S42K barrel.
Checkered Bolt Knob was a hallmark of the M44 and the Polish wz.29 parts often used in their construction.
The Air Force M44s are generally considered to be of higher build quality and finish than the more common Spanish M43 Army rifles. They were produced in much smaller numbers, making them a "sleeper" hit for Mauser collectors.
Bit of a unicorn as it retains the S/42 K mark on the sight base.
