Springtield Armory M1922 M1 converted to 22
Hornet. If you're familiar with these rifles you'll know originally there were four rifles converted at Springfield to develope the 22 Hornet cartridge in conjunction with Winchester. Everything points to this being one of the 4. Barrel is dated October 1926 the. listing indicates that the rifle was sold via DCM Rifle Sales on Feb. 27, 1929. All modifications are as shown in the Brophy book of 1903 rifles. Rifle is fitted with a vintage 3-9 weaver with adjustable object, I do not have the missing Lyman 48c rear peep sight. Obviously the real market for this rifle is in the USA, but I'll try it here first. I see the last Griffin and Howe conversion that sold went for $4950 USD More detailed photos available to serious buyers
