Beautiful Cooey Model 39 with custom handmade vintage Case

Howdy Gunpost! I've got a really nice old gal here for you to take a look at. This is Canadian classic, the Cooey Model 39. Known by many names and sold by many different retailers over the years. This gun was given to me by a old family friend years ago. I had my dad who is professional woodworker and carpenter refinish the gunstock and the wooden box made by said family friend nearly 65 years ago when he was in grade 9 back in 1960. For a woodshop project made over a half century ago it was very well made. It did need some TLC and some nice new rubber hardware was added. The original box was lined with a cut up cauliflower produce box and a piece of that was left in (pictured) with our family friend's writing on it underneath the new foam liner for posterity reasons.

History aside this is a nice old .22 that's been nicely restored to it's former glory. The wood, metal and bore are all in excellent shape. The wood has an interesting two-tone type characteristic to it. One side of the stock is quite blond and the other side has a much darker typical walnut colour and grain to it. There's some neat wavy burl at the front of the forend too. Metal is lightly worn but overall is still really nice, the color case hardening on the trigger housing is still present too.
