NWT Commemorative model 94 Winchester 30-30

I have a North West Territories commemorative Model 94 Winchester .30-30 octagon barrel low serial number NWT 1005 for sale. I am the second owner, purchased from the original owner who said he mainly used it as a showpiece and only put a few rounds through it. I have not fired it myself, as it was an impulse buy and I wanted it for a collection/display piece and to own a commemorative. I’m now looking to fund other projects.

The rifle is in good condition. The rifling is clean, and the loading gate looks great new with no noticeable wear.

Unfortunately, there is some pitting on the front left side of the barrel that appears to have been touched up or blued over. There are also a few small bluing marks—when I asked the original owner, he said these were from moving/storage, and the pitting was from the mount he had it displayed on.

Aside from these cosmetic imperfections (the pitting spot and minor bluing marks), it is a beautiful rifle. The stock looks great, and overall condition is very solid. Since I’ve owned it, it has been a safe queen, stored with CLP oil in a dehumidified safe. I have talked to a gunsmith and he said it would not be a hard fix for the small pitting marks as they are just surface so can be sanded and re blued as well as touching up the other small blueing imperfections would be around $250.
