For sale is a North China Type 30 Arisaka carbine,(北支30 式)a rare WWII-era rifle produced in Japanese-occupied North China (Tientsin) around 1938–1943.

These rifles were made to arm Chinese auxiliary and puppet troops under Japanese control and were chambered in 8mm Mauser, which was widely used in China at the time. Total production is estimated at under 40,000 rifles.

Steel buttplate

No upper handguard (correct for Type 30)

Marked with 5-petal cherry blossom instead of Imperial mum

Serial number in the 300,000 range (one of the Tientsin-area factories)
