Well, if you're looking for one of these, in my opinion, the most desirable were made by Winchester. The serial number # 2352412 would date this to late 1943, early 1944 which is also stamped on the stock as well. The wood is a very good condition for its age and no cracks or repairs. In regards to the barrel it looks like it had been replaced with a later version, which is very clean and has pronounced rifling. This would make an excellent shooter and collector for anybody that is into the World War Il genre. Also comes with a period sling.Winchester model M1 Garand, .30-06 Spring semi automatic, w/ bbl length 24" [Blued barrel and receiver. Fixed front and adjustable rear sights. Top of bolt marked "BMB", '6038" and barrel marked with Danish "VAR" stamp. Mechanically and aesthetically appear near excellent with only minor use, handling and storage marks.
