CARL GUSTAFS STADS GEVARSFAKTORI 1915” with the Swedish crown proof. The “1915” is the manufacture year of the original receiver (a Model 1896 long rifle action made at the Carl Gustafs factory in Eskilstuna, Sweden). It was later shortened and converted to m/38 specifications around 1938–1940. This is standard for many Carl Gustaf M38s — the receiver date reflects the original m/96 production, not the conversion year.
• Bore is in very good condition and the stock does is also in very good condition.
• Shorter ~24-inch barrel (typical for m/38; m/96 long rifles are ~29 inches).
• The disc on the buttstock and overall configuration match Swedish military patterns.
