Vintage H&R Model 853 "Sniper" .22 LR – Made in Canada (1950s)

Selling a vintage Harrington & Richardson (H&R) Model 853 "Sniper" bolt-action repeating rifle. 

This is a highly collectible, unmolested piece of Canadian rimfire history, manufactured at the historic H&R subsidiary plant in Drummondville, Quebec.

True to early 1950s production, this utility model was manufactured without a factory serial number, which was completely standard for budget rimfires of this era. Unlike many variations from the Drummondville factory that suffered from misaligned roll-stamps (often spelling it "DRUMMONDVILLF"), this specific barrel features crisp, perfectly spelled "DRUMMONDVILLE" factory lettering.
