Browning BLR in the pre 1981 version (from my research it indicates a manufacturing date in Japan of 1972-73, purchased from original owner - obviously lightly used - barrel and rifling in excellent condition. Action and trigger are crisp and in great condition.

According to the serial number (which is backwards as many of the original runs of Japan originals were) - it dates it to 72. I put the date as “72/73” because according to Browning’s website the production in Japan started in 1973. I called them and they confirmed during the initial runs the serial numbers were backwards and there was some runs in ‘72.

If anyone is really interested, and they just want to check for themselves - as long as we have a deposit (refundable / just $80) - I’ll send you a pic of the serial number and you can do your own research to feel secure. I also have a 14 day return policy - as long as it comes back in same condition, no questions asked - full refund.

Hardwood (walnut) Forend and stock with checkered engraving - only normal usage scrapes (only aesthetic) seems to be to left side of stock.  An extra Browning .308 magazine - a rare ‘hanging’ magazine is being sold separately (identical to original with gun - but extra mag is overall in better condition) .

I light my oiled it with natural Caron & Doucet oil which doesn’t create a wax layer, is 100 percent natural, and just is a good way to protect the stock. The last two pictures are the latest pics of the stock after the natural oil. I’ll do a rubdown and it will be less ‘’matte” and I didn’t edit any aspect of the photo.

Check out all I have currently up for sale by clicking on my profile - I’ll be receiving and posting a 1952 Wingmaster with two barrels (right now I have the original barrel which has spots of rust on outside and a few light dings. The original 30 inch barrel bore itself is in very good ship; very light if any noticeable  pitting in select places. There is a beauty 12 gauge Ithaca from 1950s - hardwood with great detailing on the forend and stock. There is a 12 gauge hardwood Tac 14 with upgrade of new Crimson Trace laser system (essential when you are shooting from mid-section or hip). Check it out if interested.
