I had plans to keep this beauty, but must part ways with it.
An incredible piece of post-war military history and a prime candidate for a dedicated collector's restoration project. This is an apparent arsenal-built M1 Garand configured with key BM59 components. The historical Italian armorers famously wasted nothing, making this a fascinating milsurp puzzle.
Receiver: Danish Contract "FKF" marked receiver manufactured by Beretta (PB 5179).
BM59 Features: Fitted with an original Beretta BM59 stock and a Beretta "PB BM 59" marked bolt.
Barrel: Equipped with a clean 1967 Italian SIAU standard BM59 7.62 NATO conversion barrel featuring sharp military proof marks.
Restoration Potential: Currently configured as a standard clip-fed Garand layout inside the BM59 furniture. It appears fully ready to be converted back into a true magazine-fed rifle with the addition of a BM59 trigger group and magazine. A perfect candidate for a winter BM59 clone build.
