Ruger American bolt action rifle in 22 Magnum

This rifle is the well-known Ruger American bolt Action rifle chambered in the great 22 Magnum (22 WMR) cartridge.

The rifle has had about 15 shots fired to test the open sights. 

Condition is mint with no signs that it has been fired.

This rifle has the 22” barrel, which optimizes the great 22 WMR cartridge and gives at least 100 ft/s or more than in the short 18” barrel.  It is also not as loud as the shorter barrel, and the longer sight radius makes it much easier to aim accurately with the open sights.

The rear sight is adjustable and the front sight is fitted with a green optical fiber, making it clearly visible even in lover light.

The rifle has a removable 9-shot magazine.  This design rotary magazine is extremely reliable and has been around for decades and is used in the Ruger 96 lever, their 22/77 and the rare 10/22 Mag. Millions have been made for the shorter 22LR.

The stock has a replaceable insert so this enables the shooter to select one to be used with the open sights, or be exchanged for the higher one when a scope is used.
