Early production Japanese Type 38 by Koishikawa Arsenal (Tokyo). Estimated between 1906-1908.
Rifle has undergone an interwar arsenal overhaul. Mum is defaced and equipped to schools. The bolt assembly is matching to itself but not to the receiver, and retains its correct early safety knob. Equipped with a original dust cover. Stock is original military pattern with handling wear consistent with age and service. Sling is included.
I have shot it and it’s pretty accurate and consistent.
