I DO NOT WANT TO SELL THIS.
I have an opportunity I won’t get again so I need money.

  • 1891 pattern, not updated to 91/30 like Nearly all other mosins
  • Original barrel!!
  • Made in 1915
  • Made by Westinghouse in New England USA
  • ORIGINAL STOCK (it’s uncommon for a surviving 1891 to have a piece original stock ( also crack free)
  • Very good shape, excellent trigger, smooth bolt

These were made in the USA to help imperial Russia with their shortage of rifles during WW1, shortly afterwards Russia was overthrown and the US was never paid. This one was later used during the invasion of Finland where it was captured and then used by the Finn’s against the Russians.
the Finn’s modified their captured rifles in many ways; the most common being are new barrels and two piece stocks meant to increase accuracy by making expansion and contraction a bit more predictable (these are often mis identified as “duffel cuts”). This rifle appears completely original except the [SA] stamp which signifies acceptance into Finnish use.
This rifle is VERY accurate and its zeroed perfectly, the bolt is very smooth and the trigger is excellent.
As you know its chambered in 7.62x54R.

I’m very upset to be selling this, I need to get some money together to pay for a rifle that I won’t have the chance to get again (even though it’s VERY unlikely I will get a Westinghouse in as close to perfectly original shape as this as well)

If the rifle I am selling this to pay for becomes unavailable I will remove the ad and keep this rifle.

Shipping is fine, costs extra. PAL verification required.
