Mossberg MVP Scout Rifle 7.62 NATO with Vortex Crossfire 2-7x Scout Scope.

Offered is a Mossberg MVP Scout rifle in 7.62mm NATO (.308 Win.). The scout rifle was a concept of gunwriter Jeff Cooper, who wanted a compact and handy, yet capable rifle for all sorts of hiking and carrying situations. This rifle features a 16.25” barrel and forward-mounted, extended eye relief scope. Weighs in at 3.86kg (8.5lbs) as you see it in the photos. Comes with one 10-round magazine.

Rifle, scope and mounts have a very nicely done tan/ brown-leaf camo pattern. Finish has a smooth and hard feel, and seems to be wearing well.

Scope sits in QD cantilever-type mount, looks to be modeled after a Burris PEPR but has no manufacturer’s markings.

Fitted with a bright metal aftermarket muzzle brake, appears to be a Witt Machine & Tool Eliminator, but again has no manufacturer’s mark on it.

I have not fired this rifle, but mechanically seems to function well. Exterior has minimal handling marks. Original owner told me no more than 50 rounds fired. Brass smears on the bolt and soot in the muzzle brake indicate light use. Bore is bright and shiny.

Cabelas padded camo nylon sling on Cabelas Super-QD type swivels, and Butler Creek flip-up scope caps.
