Marlin Guide Stainless 45/70 - ghost ring sights, upgraded with large finger lever & all weather forend & buttstock, which makes it super light -great for carrying and quick handling. 18.5 " barrel is that short handling length, but keeps muzzle blast away from your ears. Later era Remington made, w/ quality craftsmanship, has a super smooth action and loads, cycles, and ejects flawlessly. Removable cheek riser, which is helpful for proper cheek weld when shooting w/ a scope.
An excellent lightweight carrying option for backcountry hiking or hunting and well suited for all NA large game hunting including bears and for grizzly protection. New SBL Marlins weigh 7.3 lbs, this weighs 6.9 lbs.
