A highly attractive Romanian-contract Zbrojovka Brno Vz.24 chambered in 7.92×57mm Mauser, serial number SR 13*.**

Produced during the German occupation of the Czech lands, these rifles represent an interesting intersection of renowned Czech arms manufacturing and Romania’s increasingly close relationship with Nazi Germany during the early WWII period.

A particularly interesting feature is the partially scrubbed King Carol II royal crest on the receiver ring. Following the abolition of the Romanian monarchy in 1947, royal markings on many Romanian Vz.24 rifles were ground away during later military refurbishment. On this example, the central cipher was removed, but clearly recognizable portions of the original decorative wreath remain visible on both sides, unlike many examples where the crest was completely scrubbed.

The rifle appears to have undergone a military arsenal refurbishment, with earlier stock numbering struck out and subsequently force-matched.

Overall condition is excellent. The metal is exceptionally well preserved with strong, remarkably complete arsenal-refinished bluing. The stock is clean, solid and tidy, with no obvious major chips, cracks, or structural damage.

The bore is outstanding—exceptionally bright and clean with deep, extremely sharp rifling.
