This is a fine example of a Swiss K11 Schmidt-Rubin straight-pull infantry rifle, chambered in 7.5x55mm Swiss (GP11), with matching serial numbers: receiver, bolt, magazine, manufactured in 1915 at the Waffenfabrik Bern arsenal.
The K11 was a transitional model between the earlier Model 1889/96 and the later K31, combining the 1911 long action with a shorter, handier carbine-length stock. It was produced from 1911 to 1933, and this example features a walnut stock, tangent rear sight graduated to 1,500 meters, and the original Swiss-style sling with brass fittings. The bore is excellent, with strong, sharp rifling and a bright interior—indicative of the rifle's legendary Swiss care and precision.
Condition Overview:
- Metal: Bluing is in very good shape with some honest wear from handling and age. No signs of rust or major pitting.
- Wood: Original walnut stock has minor handling marks and small pressure dents but retains its full profile and character. No cracks or repairs.
- Action: Smooth, tight, and fully functional.
- Bore: Bright with strong rifling—excellent shooter condition.
- Markings: Clear Swiss cross and Waffenfabrik Bern markings on receiver.
- This K11 is ideal for both collectors of Swiss military firearms and shooters looking for a high-quality straight-pull bolt-action rifle. Its accuracy with GP11 surplus or handloaded ammunition is well-documented, and it remains a classic example of early 20th-century Swiss craftsmanship.
