Hello GunPost!

Due to needing to pay for some hefty mechanical repairs on my daily driver's, I am offering another gem of my collection!

This is a very special, one of a kind 1840's Officer's Private Purchase "Cape Gun", set up for Dangerous Game hunting (likely leopard & lion), likely ordered by a British Officer in Africa.

This is in exceptionally fine condition, and was custom ordered from a master gun smith.

It features:

- Beautiful double twist Damascus Steel over Drawn Steel barrels, one being a 12G shotgun, the other being a .40 Cal Rifle!

- Exceptionally well balanced, with a fine rear buck rifle style sight and front brass rifle site

- Double triggers with a one-of-a-kind ADJUSTABLE SINGLE SET TRIGGER FOR THE RIFLE!!! My Canadian Team Gunsmith checked the gun over and said HE HAS NEVER SEEN THIS IN HIS 80 YEARS!

- Beautiful Hand Etched Engraving on All Parts. I am estimating 1840's due to presence of engraved Pineapple ahead of the trigger guard and percussion system.

- Excellent wood, Excellent Metal Condition

- 12G Shotgun bore is 8/10, Rifle bore is 9/10

- Rifle has clean lands, 7 sharp well defined rifling grooves, fast twist, and a perfect original muzzle crown.

- Accurate and a pleasure to shoot

- Gun is as described and shown in pictures. More pictures on request, limit 2 extra pictures.

- I am a Gold Medal 🥇 Winning Canadian Black Powder Champion. The antiques I sell have been checked over by our team Master Gunsmith, that said, I cannot guarantee they will work perfectly forever. I do not sell junk. While I am open to offers, please keep them reasonable. At this time, I am not interested in trades.

- Open to pick up, personal delivery withing 25 KM of the GTA or shipping on your dollar.

Thank you for looking!

Sincerely,

Adrian
