30-40 Krag Sporter

I am reducing my collection of rifles.  I can no longer hunt or shoot prone, so the rifles I can no longer use need a new home.

I have 2 Krags.  On in military condition and one that was professionally done over as a sporter.   It has been beautifully polished and blued and sports a nice new stock.  It is marked "US Springfield Armoury Model 1898" I have never shot it.

The Krag was the US Army transition rifle to a smokeless repeater - replacing the 45-70.  The rifle is noted for its side-opening magazine (easy to load) and the very smooth bolt action.
