Manufactured by Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken Berlin. It has matching serial numbers on the receiver, stock, bolt handle, the big thing that screws into the bolt and the safety. I did not check the barrel number. Those parts have matching beta letter inspection marks. The lower receiver and magazine plate have a different serial number and Greek letter inspection marks. So what I can figure is that the lower receiver was replaced during mid-century or earlier refurbishment at the Itajuba Arsenal in Brazil. There are no caliber markings so it is 7x57mm Mauser and not a conversion.
The stock has some bruising around the forward grip, the butt plate has some blackened buildup on the edges. The barrel is shiny and sharp looking. I have astigmatism and it makes it difficult to look down the barrel with light coming through it, but this rifling is sharp and clean enough for me to clearly see.
