.303 Lee Enfield No1 Mk3* Mills Grenade Launcher with launcher.
This Lee Enfield is configured as a Mills Grenade Launcher.
It is marked RFI (Rifle Factory Ishapore) 1964.
The bolt, receiver, stock and nose cap numbers all match.
The bore is quite good to very good and clean with strong rifling (.303 bore gauge does not run) and head space is tight on armours inspection gauge 0.070".
The Mills launcher is marked RFI and came with rifle when I got it in 2005.
1964 was the very last year RFI produced the .303 LE No1 Mk3* as production started in 1964 for the the LE 7.62mm 2A/A1rifle. 1964 was the last known production year of any .303 SMLE No1 or No4 and this rifle is the highest serial number compared to other known 1964 No1 rifles listed on forms.
This all matching rifle shows minor field use but is quite nice with no cracks. It is clean and ready to go with launcher cup.
