Antique Status Original Winchester 1866 Musket 44RF Arabic Contract

This is not something you see in the market often.  The model 1866 is the first lever action rifle bears the Winchester name. Its nick name "Yellow Boy" is from the yellow tone brass receiver. This model is widely favoured by both civilian and military buyers from different countries as one of the most successful repeating arms back in that time. This particular sample is built in 1871, the Arabic characters on the rear sight and the star stamp underneath the receiver indicates it's a possible Ottoman empire contract. The metal parts are in good condition for the age. No live rust or heavy pitting. Some light patina and minor surface pitting at some area. Missing rear sight spring which is common among this model. Barrel address is still visible which is rare for 1866 carbines and musket rifles. Buttplate is correct style but serial number is different, which I assuming common during military use. Wood furniture is fair with worn and dings, some hairline end cracks at the tip of the forarm, small chip next to the buttplace tang. No large major damage. I haven't shot it because the ammo is so rare. But it cycles no problem at all. Bore has some corrosion but rifling still strong. Check my Flicker album for all details.
