One of only 5000 manufactured. The first model Remington Split breach carbines were manufactured by Savage in 1864. It is in .46 caliber rim fire. The bore is very good and the action works as intended. This carbine has the inspector stamp on the wrist. There is plenty of original blue finish. I am asking 2800.00 . It is a scarce model. The larger .50 caliber second model Remingtons are a lot more plentiful with 15000 having been manufactured. I will cover the postage.
