Lee Enfield No4 Mk1 Maltby

G’day,

I have for sale a 1943 Maltby assembled Lee Enfield No4 Mk1.

This was a “sporterized” rifle that I have reconditioned using original English wartime manufactured furniture and metal fittings.

It has the Maltby production stamps and date on the butt socket and It bears the typical English markings on the receiver ring and Knox form for post war commercial sale

There is no rust to the metal.

The receiver has been armourer stamped with a * indicating signs of barrel rust but the two groove barrel is shiny, sharp and rifling is crisp with no evident signs of rust or pitting.

The bolt is numbers mismatched but headspace’s as expected and functions without issue.

There are arsenal repairs to the heel of the butt stock and rear of the forend forward of the bolt, as shown in the pics.

I have not shot this rifle.
