Sadly letting this beauty go to raise fund. G98/40 is manufactured by Mannlicher and ordered by Nazi Germany during WWII. Caliber is 8mm Mauser the same with Kar 98K. They mainly used by Luftwaffe, much rarer than the Mauser rifles. It is in great condition for the age. No rust/pitting on the metal. Only handling marks and a very minor grain crack on the buttstock. Serial numbers matching except bolt and floor plate. Nazi eagle and proof marks all present. Cycles butter smooth. Bore is bit dark but strong rifling. All details in the pics. You must have one if you are a serious German weapon collector. Now asking $3350 instead of $3700, not considering trade except partial trade for an origin Winchester 1866 or 1876, I will add cash on my side. Shipping and insurance on buyer if needed.
