This rifle was bought in 2023 for deer season from Cabela's. It was chambered in .308 winchester when it was bought.
The rifle was re-barreled to shoot .243 Winchester.
Heres the custom build specs:
- Savage Axis with True Timber Strata synthetic stock
- MCarbo trigger kit (trigger down to an ultra crisp 3lbs, can go lower with other spring)
- JC Custom Barrel - stainless steel #4 contour 1 in 8 twist (optimized for 90-100gr bullets) 20" in length.
These barrels are single point cut rifling and are hand lapped.
- Weaver Scope Rail
- Barrel install and stock channeling was professionally done by Stepane Corbei of Snapshots. With the heavier profile barrel the rifle has a more forward balance with is great for shooting off a rest. I have not reloaded for this particular rifle, but with hunting ammo it is quite impressive
Only shot 50rds through it.
Would prefer local transaction (Russell/Ottawa Area) but can ship at buyers expense.
