Martini Enfield Carbine .303 British. During the unrest in Northern Ireland with home rule concerns and the conflicts that ensued 1912-1921, Carson started running arms into Ulster to stand up the UVF (Carson's Army). I have one of the few remaining known Martini Enfield carbines used by the sole Cavalry Regiment of the Ulster Volunteer Force, the Enniskillen Horse. Formed in 1912, the Enniskillen Horse. I have had this in my collection for a number of years. As far as rare UVF artifacts go this is certainly a top tier UVF arm that has great provenance. If interested I have all the research, extra images and the history of this rare carbine with images of the cavalry unit with these carbines. There are very few of these UVF carbines out there and I have only seen two others online that have the horse's head. It shows field wear but has a nice dark patina and the bore is good with prominent rifling.
