For sale,
Was my Dads rifle. He owned it approximately 20 years. Overall, except for a couple turned screws, a real clean, honest, good looking rifle. Marlin modified shotgun butt. Full octagon barrel and magazine. Sheard blade front sight. (Note: There is a touch of white nail polish on it for his eyes which can be easily removed). Barrel blue turning, frame was case coloured but faded. Not cleaned. All original wood varnish. Wood is very nice, though there is a small impression, which can be steamed out. Action, hammer etc all very tight and very smooth action as well. Overall a nice example of a hard to find model and caliber, and most have extra holes, etc. From what I can see, made in 1907 (ish).
Like I said, dad used to shoot it. I also have this to go with it, will describe best I can:
40 R-P Unprimed Brass
40 R-P Primed Brass
50 Once Fired Brass.
14 Original Winchester plus 15 fired.
Bullet Barn RNFP BB (Beveled base) 85 grain Bullets (215 from my count)
Tin of smaller size cast bullets (200 from my count) BTB 75 grain.
RCBS Cowboy 30Die Set Plus Shell Holder
IMR 4198: Barely any used. Only loaded 5-6 shells.
If sold together as a package, $1700. $1400 for the rifle alone. Would be best to sell locally, but if not, will figure out shipping, would have to be shipped in a couple shipments. If I am off on price, let me know, can be hard to price Marlins unless very high condition. May be open to offers. May also be able to find a factory box of 25-20 in my stuff if you require.
Thanks.
