🔥🔥A curious 1873 44/40 ‘ old west era “ . C1885 . What they did back in the day to keep their trusty rifles going is amazing . Not a cheap purchase for most years ago , so anything they could do to keep them “ running “ was done . This one has a COLT Lightning .44 barrel hung on her 23 1/2” . Magazine shortened etc . Shootable bore ! I have Shot this rifle and operates smoothly as it should . No brass bulge and primers not showing any pop or headspace . Mild loads 😎 Some “ folk “ talisman inlays . Shell of some sort . Oyster or abalone ?? Could be native additions , no idea . One person suggested Irish / seal boat / spoon and hearts signifying relationship . Anyways …..$1075 as she sits . Less than the sum total of the parts if I sell piece by piece , but a shootable operational rifle .
