 Up for sale is an exceptional, late-production 1955 Russian SKS from the historic Tula Arms Plant. This specific rifle marks a critical historical milestone: it features the iconic, large Tula star and date stamp directly on the receiver cover, signifying the final full production year before Tula transitioned to the less common "letter-series" codes. 

Representing the absolute peak of the 1955 production era with the last of the prominent top-cover stars, this piece is housed in a phenomenal, 1952-stamped Tula hardwood stock. Offering double the historical appeal of a standard surplus firearm, this rifle is an incredible addition for any serious military surplus collector.

• Caliber: 7.62x39mm 

• Stock: Original solid birch hardwood stock featuring a rich, smooth varnish finish, very distinct factory inspection stamps, and a clear 1952 Tula cartouche. 

• Metal Finish: Deep, crisp arsenal bluing in phenomenal shape. The bolt and carrier are bright and clean, and the chrome-lined bore is excellent with sharp rifling.

• Status: Matching numbers are crisp across the primary metal components (receiver, bolt carrier, top cover, and trigger guard). The solid hardwood stock shows standard, neat Soviet depot X-out markings from its refurbishment history before being serialized to match. 

• Note: The magazine floor plate is the only non-matching component, which is very standard for these depot-refurbished Soviet surplus packages. 

• Magazine Capacity: Legally pinned to 5 rounds to strictly comply with Canadian regulations.
