This is a restoration kit for a good to excellent condition 1940 Lee Enfield SMLE/No1 MK3* -  2nd WW dispersal rifle ( BSA factory). The bolt, rear sight leaf, barrel and receiver are numbers matching, the nose cap has no serial number, nose cap pressure plate & spring along with the  fore-end lug are reproduction parts and the rest of the hardware are NOS/period correct or original to this rifle.

The wood set is a full reproduction beech set from Prestigious Wood Stocks with a value of around $575 - Beech would have been the correct wood species used for the post 1st WW FTR's that many of these rifles went through. The Barrel is good to excellent with plenty of life left in it.

There is almost everything here to rebuild your own No 1 MK3* to original military spec, The parts needed to complete this is a butt stock bolt washer, butt stock swivel mount, front sight blade and rivets for the upper hand guard spring and end cap - I'm almost out of LE parts and these I just don't have to add to this kit. These parts are still widely available from companies like Marstar, Sarco, Numrich, DS solutions etc.

I paid out for more for the original sportered rifle, stock set and additional parts than the total price i'm asking for all this - i'm just not interested in restoring these rifles anymore as very few people seem to appreciate the time and cost that goes into it.

I have more photo's available if required and/or message with any question.

Proof of PAL still required, collection from Summerland or post at buyers cost.
