Newton Rifle

Extremely rare - Original Newton rifle -serial # 79 (reciever) - 256 Newton caliber. Circa late 1916 mfg. Firearm is in remarkable condition for its age - has segmental rifling and bore appears to be 75%. Sights were removed and Lyman bases were installed for scope at some time - original barrel with factory markings. Factory original stock #79 in very good condition w/checkering intact. Only 4000 of these were made before 1922 - many went to Griffin & Howe gun dealers -but not this one. Comes with 10 factory Winchester 256 Newton rounds and a very rare RCBS loading dies. Found an interesting paper tag when I removed the buttplate -see pic.
