Swedish Mauser M38 1943

Swedish Mauser M38 in 6.5x55 dating to 1943. Made at Husqvarna in Sweden. 

Excellent condition including bore and chamber. Everything is nice and tight and shoots like a dream. All metal parts are matching serial #. The stock is not matching  but this is common as stocks were often replaced at the armoury in Sweden. This rifle has been in this stock a very long time. 

Good two stage trigger, breaks nice and clean. Fully functioning safety with empty magazine stop. Fully functioning three position safety. No headspace issues. It shoots exactly the same ammo as my modern manufacture 6.5x55’s.  A great little rifle. 

No cracks or splits. Just the usual wear and tear typical of an issued military rifle. 

Included is the Vortex Venom 3 MOA red dot and rear sight picatinny rail. Boxed and in as new condition. All the original sight parts are supplied and the rifle can be put back to military spec in a couple of minutes if you wish. It groups my handloads easily inside the red dot and often produces groups of 1-1.5” if you do your bit. It is happy shooting 140 gr or 160 gr bullets. 

The picatinny rail is sturdy enough to fit a long eye relief scope if you want.
