Price plus shipping. Selling an early, but sadly not all original National Match 1903. It's not documented on the Springfield Research Service list sadly, but it's in the same range as several documented rifles (will attach photo of serial lookup) BUT IT does have the StarGauge number on the barrel, as this rifle was made in June 1921, and star gauge wasn't added to the barrel until September of that year. Also has the holes in the side of the receiver right where a Lyman rear sight would have been.
Bolt body, extractor, and inside of receiver have all been polished. Was it done at the factory? I have no idea. Rear sight leaf appears polished too. The rear sight slider has been replaced with a NOS part. Front blade has been shaven down slightly. A new front sight and the original rear slider cap are also included, along with a NOS bolt and extractor in case the polished bolt isn't your thing. Both bolts headspace fine. 4 stripper clips included too.
Stock is marked RI for rock island at the fore end, and has markings on the left side of the stock. It's easily the most beautiful 1903 stock I've saw. Has been repaired at the back behind the rear action screw, but I have fired at least 10 boxes of ammo with zero problems.
Bore is still pretty good for being original to the rifle. Has the usual light pitting, rifling looks a little worn, but still measures a "2" on the muzzle wear gauge.
Overall a great shooter at the least. I just never use it and could use the funds and safe space for other projects. Forgot to mention it's also had most of the springs replaced, including the sear spring, magazine spring, and striker spring.
