Very rare WW2 Krag Jorgensen made under Nazi Occupation of Norway. Solid rifle in great condition in a full wood stock. I have only seen one other that was heavily sporterized and in rough condition like most Krag’s that enter this country. Bore is mint. This rifle is all matching numbers with the bolt being force matched with electro pencil. Willing to ship.
Background: The German need for rifles meant that in 1943, the Norwegians were ordered to begin a production run of Krag-Jørgensen rifles adapted to their specifications. Reluctance of the factory workers meant that by 1945 just ~3,500 rifles had been delivered to the occupying forces. In Norway the rifles were often colloquially known called ‘Stomperud-Krag’ in reference to a Norwegian comic about a well-meaning, naive but poor soldier.
