For sale or trade is a French Chapuis Armes double rifle chambered in 8x57JRS with high grade Turkish walnut and ejectors.
Ammunition is inexpensive for a double rifle and readily available at numerous online Canadian retailers. I currently shoot Norma Alaskan 196 grn out of it.
The rifle is able to be calibrated with Allen keys to regulate at any range with any make of ammo. I also have the optional Chapuis quick detach pivot 1inch rings and a leupold vx3iii 1.5-5 that could be worked into the sale or trade but I won’t part with the rings unless the rifle sells first. I have additional pictures that can be sent or FaceTime in person with the rifle. The trades I’m interested in are fine European hunting rifles, with walnut stocks. I can also add cash to the trade deal depending on what you have to trade. Primarily interested in single shot rifles, Hagn, R.Martini, Krieghoff, fanzoj etc. along with some dangerous game bolt rifles / double rifles, Heym, Krieghoff etc
New is $7800 US with direct conversion from US to Canadian being $11,222 before import fees, duties and taxes. An identical rifle was listed at prophet river for thousands more.
Trade value with the QD rings I would put at the $10,000 mark.
