This rifle went through an official military refurbishment in 1942 and bears the * (star) mark, indicating factory rework. During this process, parts were replaced and renumbered as needed, which is why serials are not fully matching. This is correct for a service-refurbished rifle and not a parts gun.
Bore is bright with strong rifling. Action is smooth and locks up properly. Wood is solid with honest service wear. Metal finish is in good condition.
Not sporterized. Still in proper military configuration.
