One of about 300 pistol grip Winchester 1895s built in 1895/1896. Serial 18XX. Originally chambered in 38-72, now in .303 British. I’ve taken this gun to the range plenty of times and it’s an incredibly fun rifle, gets a ton of attention from those in the know. When I bought it the stock was refinished so I had the metal professionally reblued, this is not a collector example but that’s not what I was after. Have Lyman 21 repro sight that can be included. Willing to work out a REASONABLE deal, these pistol grip rifles do not go up for sale and i don’t expect I will ever own one again. Do not need to sell.
No pitting anywhere at all. Some scratching visible, bore is acceptable, rifle is quite accurate to 100 yards. Attached a photo showcasing the left side of receiver before it was blued as it was drilled and tapped at some point in the last 130 years. I now have screws filling these holes, which would be covered by the installation of the Lyman 21 repro sight.
