A beautiful pre-1964 38-55 Winchester 1894 with a full length tube and a 20" round barrel. The bluing is worn, but not abused. I see no rust anywhere on this gun and it has a very nice and consistent patina. The buttstock appears to have been lacquered at some point. The butt stock has great dimensions, making it a very comfortable rifle to shoulder.
I have had this gun to the range a couple times. It functioned perfectly and was very enjoyable to shoot. I got some nice groups with it using handloaded cast bullets at moderate velocities.
It has just over a 4 lbs trigger, which is nice and light for a lever gun. It weighs in at just under 7.2 lbs and is very comfortable to carry and handle. The loading gate feels so silky smooth compared to a recent Henry side gate I own. There is a genuine quality to how everything feels on this gun.
