The receiver is in the Velvet Gray color, with the gold scroll work, and weighs in at 7lbs 0oz with the 26" barrel installed. These shotguns use a unique "Speed Load" system. When the bolt is locked to the rear, the gun is loaded by simply inserting a cartridge into the loading port. This automatically activates the shell holder and feeds the round into the chamber. A second round can then be placed in the port on the shell holder.
The barrels are 30" and 26". The 30" barrel has the unique “recessed” rib. This is a solid, non-ventilated rib with a deep channel cut down its length to reduce weight. This barrel uses a removable choke, which appears to use a Browning Invector system. The barrel was originally a fixed full choke, and currently has a Improved Cylinder choke installed.
The 26" barrel has a vented mid-rib, and has a fixed modified choke.
Overall the firearm has handling marks from use. I hunt upland game with it, as well as shooting trap. Has been a very reliable and consistent firearm.
